This is a 10-inch latex mattress. It has a 1-inch organic cotton cover. The look is all natural, just like the materials; Saatva does not dye the materials, and so there are no harmful bleaches used.

For the Luxury Plush side, the cover is over 1 inch of organic wool that acts as a flame retardant barrier and removes moisture. Underneath the wool is a 1.5-inch layer of Talalay latex. This 5-zone comfort layer offers varying densities for comfort and proper alignment of the spine. Beneath that are 3 inches of Talalay latex for extra support. Underneath that layer is three more inches of firmer Talalay latex. At the bottom is the 1.5 inches of Talalay latex that is the Gentle Firm side; it is firmer than the Luxury Plush.

As the refinement process for Talalay latex is more rigorous than for mattresses containing Dunlop latex, the price of the Zenhaven mattress is slightly more than those other models.
